Speak to the Situation - Part 2
Ezekiel 36 tells us:
Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, 'O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
Every Christian has been given the word to speak prophecy. God gave Ezekiel the very words he was to speak. We are not to speak our own words to situations, but rather the word of God. Every mountain, every hindrance in your way must yield to God's word. You must declare I am well, I am victorious, I am rich, I am strong irrespective of whether this agrees with what you see as your physical situation. Isn't this lying? No, it is agreeing with the Word of God - His word says, 'let the poor say I am rich, let the weak say I am strong'.
Jesus said in John 16:33 that we shall have issues, tribulations and persecution - but he ends by telling his disciples - 'be of good cheer, I have overcome the world'.
This is a guarantee that we have dominion over the world system. If you say I was sick and therefore I couldn't come to church then you are not being serious or faithful. If you recall the man in the New Testament who said to Jesus "I will follow you, but I first of all need to go and bury my father". Jesus told him to 'let the dead bury the dead'. As far as Jesus was concerned, he was just giving an excuse. The man must have heard that Jesus raised the dead back to life. If he were serious, surely he would have asked Jesus to come and raise his father back to life.
People who trust God don't stay at home but come to church where they can obtain healing. The bible tells us to come to Mount Zion (the Church). There is healing in Mount Zion. You possess your possession in Mount Zion. In the New Testament, a man was paralysed, but his friends heard about Jesus and believed in him. They carried the man to the place Jesus was staying but there were too many people there for them to be able to get near to him. They were so desperate they had to break the roof to get their friend to the healer. A truly sick believer would call his pastor and ask for prayer. If you can't call your pastor and ask for prayer then declaring that you are sick could become a self-fulfilling prophecy i.e. you may be calling sickness upon yourself.
God is not mocked. If you can't trust God for healing, how can he prosper you? If you are a liar, how can the spirit of truth operate in your life?
