Prayer of Salvation

Dear God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ the Saviour. I confess to you that I have sinned and that I am a sinner in need of forgiveness. I am sorry for my sins and the way I have lived up till now.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that he shed his blood for me on the cross and died to pay for my sins and that on the third day afterwards he rose from the dead. I ask for your forgiveness and have decided to repent and turn away from my sin.

In your word in the book of Romans 10:9 you say that if we confess Jesus as Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead we shall be saved.

I confess right now Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I believe with all of my heart that you raised him from the dead. Right now, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Right now I receive your salvation and am saved.

Thank you father for your mercy and grace in sending Jesus to the cross for me. Thank you Jesus for taking the punishment for my sin on the cross of Calvary so that I will not perish, but have eternal life.

Please change me, lead me and show me how to live so that in all things and for the rest of my life I can glorify you.

Thank you for your gift of love.
