Our Christian Beliefs
The Godhead; We believe in the one true God, who has revealed Himself as the Eternally Self-existent I AM, existing in three persons. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are distinguished but indivisible in essence co-eternal, co-existent, co-equal in nature, attributes, power and glory (2 Corint. 13:14 , Matt. 28:19, John 14:26 , 1 Peter 1:2).
The Scriptures Inspired; The Bible is the inspired Word of God; a revelation from God to mankind. It is the infallible rule of faith and conduct and as such is above conscience and reason but not contrary to reason (2 Tim. 3:15 -17, 1 Thess. 2:13 )
Original Sin and fallen man; Man was created good and upright, for God said “let Us make man in our image, after our likeness” The first man Adam, through disobedience fell from the position God had intended for mankind and thus sin and death entered into the world. Adam's transgression incurred not only physical death for all but also spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. The resultant depravity of sinful human nature necessitates salvation and redemption from the power of sin, which can only be provided through a Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ (Gen. 1:26-31; 2:17 ; 3:6-24, Rom. 5:5; 12-21.
The Salvation of Man; Mankind's only hope of redemption and salvation from the power of sin is through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12 -18, Rom. 10:9-10). Salvation is by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ it is the gift of God and not by works so that no one can boast (Eph. 2:7-9). The evidence to the new believer of Salvation is the inward witness of the Holy Spirit; “The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” Rom. 8:16 .
