Getting an Uncommon Breakthrough - Part 5
Uncommon people think ahead. Making a difference is not about competing with other leaders to surpass them, but about focus. We are to honour those who exercise the ministry gifts in church or else we will miss out on the blessings we are meant to receive from these gifts to the body and the anointing will cease to flow. Elijah was a mighty prophet but he was not recognised by the people therefore he said, "at my word there will be no rain" and it was so and the people suffered drought for 3 years. When Samuel prayed concerning the peoples desire for a king, God told him they had not rejected him the prophet but God himself.
Purify yourself, abstain from anything that will hinder you for the sake of the gift and calling and so that you may excel. Choose to be a man or woman or excellence. Be purposeful, be time conscious, be focused, be goal oriented in your approach. Don't have faith in your salary as your means of income. Choose to have greater impact this year.
Don't be scared of people copying you. Whoever copies your vision will always need to come back to you to find out how to complete it. Copiers will always copy. When you catch a vision, flow with it. Don't try to fool God, but rather serve him with all your heart. People who excel are problem solvers. You should only need to be given the problem, not the solution. You find the solution.
God is looking for you to use and express your talent. People who use their talents make a difference to the people they lead. Think constantly "how can I make a great impact". You need to make a mark. When you are absent from church, does it make any difference? Are you missed? Dorcas's impact in the church was so great that the brethren had to seek out Peter to restore her to life when she died. They couldn't stand her being taken away at that time.
Excellency and making an impact is a matter of vision and understanding Psalm 4:5-6 tells us "Commune with your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. Offer right sacrifices and put your trust in the lord".
